The California Consortium for Urban Indian Health (CCUIH) supported an Integration Workgroup and a Traditional Healing Task Force to develop culturally tailored models for behavioral health integration. CCUIH engaged tribal leaders, community health center behavioral health staff and traditional healers to adapt the Substance Use and Mental Health Administration's "Levels of Integration" model to be inclusive of the role of traditional healing in behavioral health. CCUIH disseminated its Culturally Relevant Integration Model and pilot tested it with two of its member urban Indian health centers.
